Game summary

The game came down to the wire. The South got the ball on their own 30 with 46 seconds remaining. Early County quarterback Edward Taylor completed three straight passes to the North 19 with time for one more play. Taylor threw into the end zone where Dunwoody defensive back Ivory Covington knocked it down to preserve the North win. Yank quarterback Jerome Weaks (the game’s MVP) threw 32 yards to George Little to open the scoring. Taylor answered for the South on a 1-yard sneak. Dougherty’s Ronnie Bradley ran from 2 in the third and the South led 14-7. Weaks tied the game on a quarterback sneak for the North and threw to Corey Allen from 32 in the fourth for the game-winner with 6:02 left in the game.
