Game summary
The total offense was about the same (269-251 in favor of the South) and both teams had 13 first downs. The North turned the ball over seven times to only once for the South and that was the difference in the score. Southwest Macon’s Joe Dupree was 10/15 for 118 yards to earn the Offensive MVP award. Daron Whitaker scored twice on short runs and Frank Harvey added the other touchdown for the South. Mitchell Queen from South Cobb kicked a 37-yard field goal for the North. Carlos Parker of Valdosta missed the game after having an appendectomy the previous day.
