Game summary

The South dominated the first half, then hung on to beat the North 16-6. Valdosta’s James Roberts had a 2-yard scoring run in the second quarter. R.E. Lee’s Tim Perry (the Offensive MVP) ran from 7 later in the period and the South took a 13-0 lead into halftime. The North cut the lead in half in the third on an 18-yard run by Eldorado Cochran. Kevin Stuckey’s 35-yard field goal in the fourth put the game out of reach. Troup’s George Brewer, a Georgia signee, was the Defensive MVP. The North turned the ball over five times.
