A black LaFayette high school fielded a few teams in the 1930s, but it is unknown if the Hill High name had been established yet.<br />

Hill High annually fielded teams from 1946-63. The [[1951 team]] under [[Joseph "Juda" Brown]] reached the region playoffs, but was eliminated by [[Cedar Hill]], 25-0.<br />

[[Herbert C. Bradshaw]] later coached Hill.
