== History ==&lt;br /&gt;
Boddie opened in 1956&amp;lt;ref&amp;gt;Georgia Educational Directory, 1956-57&amp;lt;/ref&amp;gt; as a replacement for [[Carver (Milledgeville)|Carver High]]. Carver High had moved into a new building in 1949, one which was hurriedly built to replace the previous Carver building and Eddy, a private school. Both had been destroyed by fire in a two-year period.&amp;lt;ref name=&amp;quot;replacement&amp;quot;&amp;gt;The Union Recorder, October 7, 1948&amp;lt;/ref&amp;gt; While under construction, the Baldwin County school system realized it was inadequate for elementary and high school needs.&amp;lt;ref name=&amp;quot;replacement&amp;quot;/&amp;gt;&lt;br /&gt;

In 1952, the Baldwin County school system unveiled its school building and improvement plans, which included a project then known as &amp;quot;New Carver High School&amp;quot;.&amp;lt;ref&amp;gt;The Union Recorder, September 25, 1952&amp;lt;/ref&amp;gt;&lt;br /&gt;

== Football ==&lt;br /&gt;
A loss to [[Houston County Training]] kept the Rattlers out of the [[1963 GIA football season|1963 Georgia Interscholastic Association playoffs]].&lt;br /&gt;

Boddie lost to [[Oconee]] in the [[1964 GIA football season|1964 GIA Class region playoffs]].&lt;br /&gt;
